Custody startup led by ex-Hightower exec launches

The owners of boutique RIA custodian Equity Advisor Solutions (EAS) have launched another custody offering.

The Desich family, which founded EAS parent Equity Trust Company, has launched Innovayte, according to a spokesperson for the new custody and clearing firm. Jeffrey and Richard Desich co-own Equity Trust, which runs EAS and the affiliated ETC Brokerage Services.

While Jeffrey Desich will serve as chairman of Innovayte, the family has brought on former Hightower executive Catherine ‘Cat’ Davies as chief executive officer. Partnering with the Desich family to launch Innovayte in September gave Davies the opportunity to return to her professional roots…
